Heavenly Lord,
please give me the message you would have me deliver.
Please clarify for me what is happening in this passage
and how it relates to us.
Teach me O Lord.
Empty me of my own agenda and my eisegesis.
Fill me with your Spirit and your holy Word.
Shine your light on my mind
that I may truly understand your holy Word.
