Pinto Beans by Al Grasmoen
Soak pinto beans overnight in water with 2 teaspoons soda
Wash the beans with clean water and place in crock pot with
1 cut up medium onion
1 cup chopped ham
1/3 c chili powder
2 tablespoons dry mustard, 1 tablespoon oregano
Onion salt to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon tarragon leaves
Cool slowly in crock pot or 8 hours or until fully cooked
