Last week I preached on Psalm 1. I didn't think it wasn't anything amazing, just another sermon, but somehow it really struck a chord with folks. I had more specific comments about the sermon in the greeting line than for any other I've ever preached, and then the whole week I heard more feedback about it. It really challenged people to think that God didn't want them to be autonomous and self-sufficient. They were hard words for many to swallow, and welcome reprieve for others.
